Within seconds, each track materialised in full, exactly as you find them here. The bots stumble over words, the melodies feel hackneyed, and the sonic quirks can be jarring. Contemporary country won’t be everyone’s taste, and my producer friends in particular may find the instrumentation hard going. Yet these glitches are also intriguing — both artistically and philosophically. They remind us these systems aren’t human, while hinting at a future where the line between human-made and machine-made grows harder to draw. Is that emotion you hear? Perhaps. And that’s unsettling.
